Not Diggin The Dream? Check this out...

Here are tracks from three albums released this year I've been enjoying. Albums by Beach House, Caribou, and LCD Soundsytem.
Here is Beach House - 10 Mile Stereo... has an epicness that reminds me of Arcade Fire in a way.

So Dreamy

Alright guys, this post is another attempt to convert you over to The Dream. Both Luv Songs and Purple Kisses (yeah I know...) are from his first album and might just set the mood for a special evening. Right Side of the Brain is from last years album, Love vs Money. This track is a good representation of the albums concept, in that The Dream shares in great depth his feelings on his former relationship, wishing he would have been more emotionally involved ;) Listen for the subtle beatbox in the background.
What is it about The Dream? I have asked myself and been asked this many times. To be honest I can't pinpoint it as there is obvious cheese wrapped up in it all. Nevertheless, over the past year I've had daily cravings to hear certain tracks, and when I put it on... it bumps. Allow yourself to love this man, and let me know when you're ready for more.

Here are the three tracks:

3 Months Late, and counting

Hey Whatsup Nate, Juice and all you people in Internetland
Today is Zombie Jesus day and I've been having a rather pleasant day. Suprisingly not hungover from last night's debauchery I went to a special Easter Sunday brunch buffet with some of my other heathen friends. We drank close to 15 cups of coffee with bleary eyes, bedhead and booze sweats amidst the after church hordes. THIS breakfast is the best thing after a night of boozing. I ate my weight in freshcut fruit, eggs benedict, thick ass waffles, and an grossley unhealthy amount sausage/bacon/canadian bacon.
So this blog thing eh? We were thinking of an idea of sharing music that we are diggin on, or just think is neat or weird or whatever makes you want to share music. The key was to share it every so frequently, and to talk about it. For those people we don't know in internetland I invite you to tag along, and add your input and shit like that.
So what the fuck, no one has stepped up yet so I'm going to kick things off. 3 songs. How do I choose only 3? Well I'm choosing these three because there somewhat similiar and they are both from newer albums that I've just picked up.
If you haven't heard this you need to hear it.
Yeasayer
I love Yeasayer, I could easily do 3 of their tracks. They are doing some fresh stuff and their music videos are always killer
Check out Ambling Alp from their new album Odd Blood
This video is a trip (I hope the embed code works)

Next track is from Simian Mobile Disco.
I loved the hell out of their previous album "Attack Sustain Release"
and they came out with a new album like 8 months ago that somehow sneaked by my radar till a couple weeks ago. There's a ton of great collabs on this one, I especially like the funky grooves. So I hope you feel "the audacity of huge". it's got some fun funky shit thta makes me want to dance and walk like a bird.

Last track. Neon Indian.
I've been digging this electronic synth dreamy pop for a few months that could be seen as 80's revival I guess?
take whatever take you want to take, but I like it.
here's "deadbeat summer" from their album psychic chasms.
i can't wait to melt into the grass at some park this summer. with a good book maybe a frisbee in case a friend shows up. i could drink iced green tea, beers poured into travel cups, or make a jug of sangria in a big thermos and chip away at that for an afternoon. fuck i love the summer.
to hell with the winter and this nasty dirty spring we have right now.
(if you haven't seen Saskatoon in April, its a dust, dirt and gravel city like an afterwinter hangover with no vegetation yet- seriously shitty)

here's the link to those 3 songs. I think they are only available for 2 weeks. so jump on it and write your own blog entry soon!
